Season 57 began with a period of waiting. During S56 we used all TFs and didn’t recharge to push it to top division, in which we succeeded. After that, we sold and released a lot of our old riders to obtain a new young captain with Rajnay Bela.
Due to all the transfers the teamspirit was rather low and due to the S56-campaign none of our riders was TF ready. No chance to score in D1 or D2, we decided. So we used the first half of the season to recharge riders and gain experience with our young squad, and drop to a ranking with which we could join Kangaroo Tour again with YC-holder Nordin Moerenhout. A certain Brazilian though who won everything what was to win in D3-tours prevented Nordin from retaining his YC-title. Still, the best of the rest, which made us happy.
Before Kangaroo we managed to get only 1 result in Volta ao Porto with our new sprinter Rajnay Bela. In the last month of the season we managed to secure three wins and nine results. And on top of that we still have a couple of riders TFR who are ready to score in S58. We might try to push it to D2 early season to be present again in Portugal and Mito-Tokyo, but could also be targeting Norway in S58.
To strengthen our team in races with high SP and FR came Irishman Gerard Pirrone over from Pelles Gazelles. He rewarded our move with a win in his debute-season.
Best rider of the season has been Denny Dominguez, who recorded 2 wins at the end of the season. His performances must have caught the attention of the USA NT-manager for sure, who till this day never has selected Denny for a race in the World Tour.
In training 210+ sprint-talent Tijl Rasenberg failed to fulfil his potential, but will continue riding for the team as a LOSP (82/68). Now our training-hopes are on 200+ sprinter Allen Almquist and Reynardo Ceballos, who will join midseason S58 and has 210+ sprint-potential. Rather high maxed our other trainee and high TQ-sprinter Sima Ervin. He is now among the top10 most technical riders in OCM. He will get his chance in certain races and serve as an LO2.
We are sure that with the new badge of trainees and aging of our young stars, the team will grow in the next couple of seasons. Our hopes are to be a stable top division-team from S61 onwards the latest. In the meantime we hope to celebrate successes in the divisions 2 and 3.

After a rather average season by your standing, I am pretty sure you will enjoy a season comparable to S56.
Hope you have more luck in training Ceballos than Rasenberg !
Excited to see what else Bela can do! He's up for his 100th race, so be sure to cool a bottle of champagne ;)
Hehe, should have interrupted when I had the chance. Now my deal got interrupted instead... :(
Oh, and good luck with crossing your broken fingers ;)
Thanks!!
@Twan Don't know about Pirrone, but at your team he would be breaking the 1k-bar no doubt ;)
@Broken Fingers crossed
@Jicky Yes I hope so, Frank already compared his potential with Jochem Ploeger, so maybe Ervin can aim for Vuelta Castillos SC one day :)
Great preview! I like Ervin, he can bring you a lot of joy.
Good luck in the quest to div 1. Your team is still young so it will come :)
Nice review. Bela and Pirrone will definitely score in seasons to come.
